How To create WordPress Multisite Features

Hello, Today in this tutorial we are going to talk about how to create WordPress Multisite features for free. Some you may notice some website have Subdomain on  their main site. But in this tutorial we are going to tech you how to make multisite in WordPress which will work as Subdomain. But before that i want to make you clear about sub-domain and sub-directory.

Sub domain, which is looks like a sub site like and you need to add one more subdomain on your domain service panel to make it live. But in sub directory you no need to make an another subsite just make a new folder or directory like this www.yourdomain/news. WordPress multi-site means sub-directory. But you can also add it as sub domain. so follow this tutorial how to do that.

How TO make WordPress Multisite features

SO you no need to worry about it. Here i am going to write the step by step tutorial to make a wordPress multisite.  By enabling multisite features on your Main site you can able to make new site with a complete new dashboard in wordpress. In this tutorial i am going to show you how to make sub directory by enabling multisite features.

Step1: In the first step you need to deactivate all the Plugins and make a Backup copy of your site to avoid Error.

Step2: In the second step you need to add a simple command line to enable the Multisite Setup Process.

Copy the above command and add it into your Wp-config file which is located on your Public_html folder. Just paste the command line above where it says /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */. If your wp-config file doesn’t have this line then add it at anywhere. wpconfig file

Just add it as a shown in the above image and Save the file.

Step3: The above steps will create a new multisite installation Process for your site. Which will be display on the Tools section. Dashboard>Tools>Network Setup

Now Here we comes to the most tricky Part. After enabling the Process you will get two different command section. You need to add the first section in to the wp-config file and the section section in to .htaccess file.

[Note: In wp-config replace the previously added code and In .htaccess replace the whole command]

Step4: Once you successfully done all the above steps then login again now you will see the Multisite network option on your Dashboard.
